Customized Monthly Pork Shares
Customize your every other month pork box share in our membership store, and members can then shop for more for additional pork from us May-December. Fill your pork box share with all of your familiar favorites or get adventurous and add in something new to try! If you didn’t customize your pork share, you’ll get a farmers’ choice pork share.
Want our delicious pork in your kitchen? Our kitchen favorites to combine with our seasonal vegetables are pork country sausage, bratwurst, ground Italian sausage. Choose from thick pork chops, shoulder roasts, ground pork, chorizo sausage, uncured bacon, Italian links, and country sausage. Our members will have the first access to pork cuts including limited cuts link pork tenderloin and can choose from limited extra beef cuts when they become available throughout the year.
Customize Wednesday 8am-midnight before your pickup, and we’ll pack your pork share and farm meats for you.
5 pork box pickups: May 17th/18th, July 19th/20th, Sept 13th/14th, November plus a small Holiday pork box ($56) in late December.
*Nov + Dec dates to be confirmed by late August.
Didn’t remember to customize your pork box/share?
No worries. After the customize deadline, we will automatically fill your share with a farmers’ choice selection of our delicious farm pork depending on your membership selection.
Beef Shares
Our delicious beef is limited in quantity and is divided up into shares for our members.
5 pickup dates through the year.
Beef Shares come in 2 farmers’ choice sizes: Regular and Small.
Regular Beef Shares get all types of our our loin steaks: ribeye, NY, sirloin, and filet.
Small Beef Shares can choose from filet + NY or ribeye+ sirloin steaks at signup.
You can add beef brisket, sirloin roast, and short rib shares to your Beef Shares.
With a beef share, you don’t need to customize anything in the membership store, but you can shop for more and we’ll have it all ready for you. We’ll have a limited amount of extra steaks and special cuts available.
See the descriptions of each beef share on our signup page and choose out the combination that you’d like.
Beef Shares are distributed every other month: April 12th/13th, June 14th/15th, Aug 9th/10th, October TBA and Dec TBA. Oct + Dec dates to be confirmed by late August.
Egg Share
Add on option for pork or beef share members.
Our members who get pork shares or beef shares can add egg share(s) (1 share = 1 dozen per pickup date) to their membership and pick up with their pork or beef. Get as many dozen as you’d like. Eggs last 4+ weeks from your pick up.
We rotate the hen flock to fresh pastures around the farm with our hen wagon. Our flock has plenty of space to hunt, scratch, take dust baths, and generally be real chickens. They receive a free choice diet of non-medicated grains with flax and alfalfa.

Out of town? You can email Marie to schedule a self-serve pickup at the barn, or pick up the next time in Hickory, or another week at the Sat Charlotte Regional Farmers’ Market. OR Hold/skip a pickup date in advance on your membership account without being charged.
Member Commitment We’re growing for you. We ask that all members that sign up commit to getting their share 50% of the time…ie 3 out of 5 pork shares OR 3 out of 5 beef shares pickups. We can’t have “empty” memberships and keep the farm going throughout the year. We are counting on you.
One Time Trial Small Pork Share Want a one time trial membership? Not sure if you want to commit to 50% of the season’s pickups? You can sign up for a one time trial Small Pork Share with one pick up date of May 17th/18th. After you get your pork, we’ll contact you to see if you’d like to continue with the July, Sept, Nov, and December pickups.
Change of plans? You can hold/skip a pickup by Wednesday at midnight before your pickup date. You can also easily change your pickup location by the same deadline. (Change your pickup from Friday to Saturday at the barn OR from CLT market to the barn.)
A payment plan is an included feature for your membership. Charges will occur 1 day before your pickup day for that week’s share(s) + for any extra purchases from the membership store. (Charged Thursday/Friday for Friday/Saturday pickup.)

Friday @ Bluebird Farm. Self serve, Friday 3-6 pm. Directions to the farm available here Pickup your shares on the tables within the barn. Meat shares will be in labeled bags within chest coolers. Eggs will be in a separate chest cooler with a list of members’ names. Farmers are mostly likely working in our farm fields down the road.
Friday in Hickory: Friday 4-6pm. Pickup at Cafe Rule 242 11th Ave NE Hickory, NC 28601 Look for our white cargo van or truck.
Saturday @ Bluebird Farm. Self serve, Saturday 8-1 pm. Directions to the farm available here Pickup your shares on the tables within the barn. Farmers are either at the CLT mkt or working in our farm fields down the road.
Saturday Charlotte Regional Farmers Market 8am-noon. Pickup your shares at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market. Look for our white cargo trailer on the right hand side of Building A.
